Grown in Britain week

9th Oct 2018

We're interested to see that UK forestry is marking 'Grown in Britain Week' this week (8-14 October 2018). The idea is to promote the use of home-grown timber and forest products, in turn encouraging more planting and sustainable management of woodlands in this country.

Here at Chew Valley Trees we also believe in selling trees grown in Britain for a number of reasons, including:

  •  to reduce the risk of importing pests and diseases;
  • to support British growers;
  • and to ensure they are adapted to the British climate

Whether you are planting for a beautiful display of spring flowers or intend your trees to be harvested for forest products in years to come, rest assured those that come with the British Grown label are contributing to these aims.
