Full Time - Nursery worker and Landscaper Needed

We are looking for someone with a passion for plants to help the thousands of trees that we produce every year to look their best when they are delivered to our customers.  Working with trees requires being outside all the year round and in all weathers,  so you need to be physically fit, self-motivated and be able to apply yourself to manual work.  As well as growing the trees we also plant them in customers gardens.  We operate in a fully flexible way it is entirely possible in a working week to be working on the nursery, doing deliveries or out on landscaping projects.

Experience isn't essential so if you have worked in a plant nursery before or if you have just always wanted to work with trees and plants get in touch.

The Nursery
The nursery grows about 300 varieties of trees in a range of sizes from 7L to 230L pots.  In the winter we supply bare root trees and hedging. Work involves potting, caning, tying in the winter and spring. Irrigation and weed control in the summer and autumn. It is also possible the job will require some delivering of orders

Landscaping
We undertake a whole range of landscaping work, but primarily we plant trees, shrubs and hedging, ranging in size from small whips to large, semi-mature specimens. Other tasks would include garden refurbishment and maintenance, involving the removal of the existing garden features/vegetation and the replanting of trees, shrubs and perennials. Occasionally we install garden/estate fencing, retaining walls, patios and grass seeding/turfing.

Job progression
Where possible we always look to promote from within if possible. Once someone has shown a have a high standard of work, the ability to solve problems and the initiative to get jobs done in a logical manor we will reward appropriately.
