Have you ordered tree supports or protection?

To anchor the roots in the ground all trees over 6ft (1.75m) will need as a minimum a 5½ft (1.65m) stake and a buckle tie. If rabbits are a problem rabbit guards and canes are advised. To protect a against deer a 1.2m tree shelter and stake will be needed. Mulch mats are an excellent way to both prevent trees from being choked with grass and to help retain moisture in dry spells.
