In mid to late Spring this evergreen shrub is clothed with a spectacular display of bright orange flowers, sometimes flowering again in the autumn. The dark green, glossy leaves provide good autumn colouring and are edged with short spines. Vigorous arching branches. Best colour and fruit are produced in full sun though can be grown in partial shade on any soil except water-logged.
